Scotty O'Graci (aka Andrews) - Vocals, Saxes
You've heard King Curtis, Junior Walker, David Sanborn, and Grover Washington.... now experience Scotty O'Graci – ripping sax solos that give you that voo-voo tenor sexy feeling tingling all the way up your spine with the soaring altissimo high-note chills. Scotty also sings in a fun crooning style that always gets the crowd singing along.
This funky sax man/singer started his career playing in churches and school bands, then broke out in college with the likes of Ed Shaunessy, and performing on stages at the North Sea Jazz Festival the same year as James Brown, Ray Charles, and Miles Davis. Most recently, Scotty has opened for and/or played with Leo Nocentelli (The Meters), Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, John Lisi & Delta Funk, Coco Montoya, Tommy Castro and performed at the 2014 SLO Jazz Festival as a guest with Urban 805. Scotty helped launch Burning James and the Funky Flames in 2011, and left in 2011 to form the Soul Explozion to take his music to the next level. He is the Executive Director of the 3rd Annual SLO Jazz Festival. He also leads Black Market Trio, a popular Latin-jazz band on the Central Coast.

Joe Duran - Bass
Stanley Clark meets Larry Graham in this buffed-out bass-man. Joe anchors the band and isn't bashful about bringing his own bad self to a bass solo, either.
A finalist in Lee Ritenour's Six-String Theory competition, Joe is both a composer and a virtuoso on the electric bass.
You'll also find Joe leading his own jazz band, and also will see him in the rhythm section for Black Market Trio and Soul'd Out.

Gerald Purify - Drums
From funk to disco to Gospel, Gerald never misses a beat. He's the foot and heartbeat of the band, and other half of the engine room and has a fun performing vibe. Gerald is also a musician who grew up playing in churches, and you hear the Soul in his playing, as he continually surprising both the audience and the band with his delicious drumbeats and dynamic playing.
